Vamos aprender em nossa aula de inglês como usar os verbos BRING e FETCH que é muitas vezes confundidos pelos estudantes da língua inglesa.

Use 'bring' to express movement towards or with a person that is at the current location. For example: [Use bring para expressar um movimento para frente ou com uma pessoa que está no lugar atual]

Ex.: Could you bring me that newspaper, please? [Poderia me trazer aquele jornal, por favor?]
Ex.: Have you brought the documents along? [Você trouxe os documentos?]

Important Note: 'Bring' is often used together with “here” to indicate a location close to the speaker. [BRING é frequentemente usado junto com here (aqui) para indicar um lugar próximo ao falante.]

Verb Forms: Bring - Brought - Brought - Bringing

Use “take” to express movement away from a person to a another location. For example: [Use take para expressar um movimento para longe de uma pessoa ou para um outro lugar.]

Ex.: We took our dog with us on vacation. [Levamos nosso cão conosco em nossas férias]
Ex.: Do you take your briefcase with you to work every day? [Você leva sua mala com você para trabalhar todos os dias?]

Important Note: “Take” is often used together with “there” to indicate a location away from the speaker. [Nota importante: TAKE é muitas vezes usado com com there (lá) para indicar um lugar longe de um falante.]

Use “fetch” to express the action of going to an object and bringing to back to the current location: For example: [Use fetch para expressar a ação de ir à um objeto e trazê-lo de volta ao local atual:]

Ex.: Here Frankie! Go fetch the Ball! [Aqui Frankie! Vai pegar a bola!]
Ex.: Could you fetch the paper for me this morning? [Poderia pegar o documento para mim essa manhã?]

Important Note: “Fetch” is often used as a noun to speak about the game of running and getting a ball or other toy with a dog. [Nota Importante: Fetch é muitas vezes usado como um pronome para falar sobre o jogo de correr e pegar uma bola ou outro brinquedo com um cão]
