We use FOR + a period of time to say HOW LONG something goes on: [Nós usamos FOR + um período de tempo para dizer QUANTO TEMPO algo ocorreu:]
For six years (Por seis anos) - For two hours (Por duas horas) - For a week (Por uma semana)
