Make after [Perseguir] — Phrasal Verbs

SIGNIFICADO, TRADUÇÃO, MAKE AFTER
MAKE AFTER

Sig.: Perseguir, ir no encalço de [algo/alguém] Sin.: go after, chase.

  • We made after him in a van.
  • I slipped my other shoe into my bag and made after him - he wasn’t hard to locate.
  • I nodded, made after him quickly and eased myself through the hole.
  • A black car swerved out of a side street and made after the van. [The same as go after]
  • Hencke made after the man, all he could see us his back in the distance.

Obs: Esse phrasal verb é principalmente do inglês britânico, embora também seja usado no EUA, e seu uso é arcaico. (Cf. Oxford Phrasal Verbs)
