Verbo intransitivo

1. to run
As crianças corriam pelo pátio de recreio. The children were running around in the playground.

Saí e corri atrás dele. I ran out after him.

Quando me viu, ele desatou a correr. He ran away when he saw me.

2. (despachar-se) to hurry
Não corra, você ainda tem tempo. There’s no need to hurry. You still have time.

3. (líquidos) to flow
A água corria pela rua. Water was flowing down the street.

4. (boato, notícia) to go around
Corria o boato de que ela ia se casar. There was a rumor going around that she was getting married.

5. (resultar) to go
A excursão correu muito bem. The trip went really well.
